My experience learning to dance the Thriller without the music was awkward and embarrassing to be honest. Some of the dance moves felt really silly and didn't feel like they were actually part of the dance, however dancing it was fun when I learned how to properly dance it. If I had to be honest, it was a little hard learning how to dance it because the girls behind me didn't stop talking so I couldn't hear your instructions and most of the time I couldn't see your example. So I had to improvise most of the time and learn it from other people who did see and hear your instructions. To my dismay, you would sometimes take the dance too fast to keep up and it was mostly a waste of a practice because it was too fast to actually exercise the dance. The most awkward part of the dance in my opinion was the 'punch punch’ and everything that went after it up until 'pose and turn and hand and hips’ because it didn't seem like something a stereotypical zombie would do so what was it doing in the choreography?
Truth be told my viewpoint on professional dancers hasn't really changed. I've always known professional dancing wasn't easy and the reason I knew this was because of my similar experiences. I don't dance however I did ice skate for a while and that was hard and demanded a lot of practice so I figured dancing did to. Simply twirling on ice was hard. This is also similar to playing the piano and drawing decently which is something I am semi able to do. It looks fun and easy, but it is not easy. It is fun though.
Learning how to combine the dance with the music was confusing as it is when you play an instrument as a band however it's not impossible. At first it was confusing and it didn't seem like the the dance and music went together at all. My favorite part of the dance was were we walked like zombies because it was it went with the music and actually felt like the authentic dance. I must say that it was hard to fit the whole 'roar turn’ part in a couple of second though. p.s. I'm not sure if i did it right, if I did it wrong I'm sorry. I'm not sure how to use weebly that well tbh

Teen Suicide
Teen suicide is a very serious topic and I don't think it's taken seriously enough by the most important age group: teens! I think it's stupid to bully anyone because of their race, sexuality, or anything because in the end we're all human so why do we have to put each other down. To torment someone to the point that that person would rather end their life is stupid. Hate divides us and there is no point in adding on to the large already existing hate in the world. Not to mention suicide not only steals the life from the victim but the victim's loved. The victim's life is cut short and their loved ones will have to suffer with their anguish of losing them and the future experiences they could have had. The teenager I have chosen to write about is Audrie Pott who was a victim of bully at the age of 15 at Saratoga high school back in 2012. A week prior to her suicide, Audrie had attended a party in which there was alcohol and drank too much. According to what she could remember she passed out and when she woke up she was naked and had been drawn over. In that same week lewd photos of her were uploaded on the internet in which many of her classmates left hateful comments such as, "u were one horny mofo" and such. Then in September 12 2012 she committed suicide by hanging herself in the bathroom. Her mother found her corpse and funded an investigation into her which revealed she was sexually assaulted by 3 boys when she was passed out. The mother filed a lawsuit against them and they got off with a light sentence of community hours, 30 to 40 hours in jail, and a verbal apology (their names where not mentioned because they were juveniles at the time). She left no letters or videos before dying but there 'desperate cries for help' in her emails, texts, and social media. I think that there were several things that shouldn't have happened that could have prevented her death. First off she shouldn't have drank alcohol because it's illegal (for a reason) and she shouldn't have lied to her mom about the party not having alcohol. This is NOT meant to insinuate that she is at fault. Secondly if she were intoxicated she shouldn't have been left alone. Where were her friends? And when she was left alone someone should've stopped the teenage boys because it's unlikely they were the only ones who drew on her body. Once the lewd pictures were uploaded she should've confided to an adult and that adult would have hopefully helped take down those photos. Not only that she should have also talked to her mother and perhaps asked her to move her to a different school. I think that if she had done any of these things she wouldn't have been pushed to commit suicide. |

Earthquake Kit My experience putting the earthquake kit together was a little frightening to be honest. As I was putting together my kit I realized just how unprepared my family was for an earthquake and how likely it was none of us could survive through one. However as I was putting it together I felt reassured knowing this was not the case anymore. Luckily I had my parents' support which made this assignment easier and we are now aware of the dangers. Were it not for my parents I might not have gotten the message to my brother. My earthquake kit consists of the obvious necessities for the basic human being such as canned foods, can opener, trash bags, other foods that don't have to be cooked (cereal and more), 1 gallon of water per person\pet, an old radio, and so on. However because my mother is sick, we would have extra medication for her and better selected food for her health. We also happen to own a dog so we would have dog food for her to last her a month and a leash so that she doesn't run off and get lost and die. We also have many birds however they are all inside an aviary and as such the aviary might collapse on them and kill them all. I'm not sure which option would be more beneficial for my family and surviving birds; to one release them or two contain them in a smaller cage. As such we also keep enough food for 15 birds that will last a month (I have 11 birds but birds eat a large amount of food. My earthquake kit will help my family survive because of our meticulous work putting it together trying not to over look anything for our safety. Luckily my father is in fit condition which will surely help us in case someone gets buried under rubble and such. We have established that our meeting point will be our house since out of all the locations we are all at most of the time, our house is most accessible for us. Because we live in a house, our survival kit is in our backyard for if it were in our front yard anyone could steal it. We have also discussed which support groups are to best trusted such as Red Cross and FEMA. P.S. I forgot to add a first aid kit, flashlight, extra batteries, and pads in the second paragraph. Weebly started erasing my work when I tried to add it in so I gave up. Edit this text to make it your own. To edit, simply click directly on the text and start typing.
